Set atop a sun-drenched hill, we designed this native-forward garden to complement the unique architecture of both the home and guest house. The property’s distinct layout created opportunities for creative planting design, layered movement, and a strong connection between the architecture and surrounding landscape. Native plants were incorporated wherever possible to support pollinators, birds, and local wildlife, creating a vibrant and ecologically rich setting that feels deeply connected to place. Fieldstone steps, bluestone surfaces, and granite details add texture and permanence, balancing the naturalistic plantings with timeless hardscape materials for a landscape that feels both artful and enduring.
Photography shown throughout the project captures the garden at different stages of maturity, approximately two growing seasons apart – from newly planted to more established and filled in. Early photography by Jana Cevolo Photography. Later photography by Anthony Crisafulli.
